FAQ’s Answered

How much do you charge?

Solomon’s Quest is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The answer is “it depends.” We have a suggested scale that accounts for your church’s size, the number of people to be trained, and the training format. From one-on-one coaching (online) to a weekend in-person event, the actual cost is negotiated based on your situation and need.

Is the training online or in person?

Both!  We can provide one-on-one coaching or group training online. We can also arrange 1-to 2-day in-person training events.

Is Solomon’s Quest a curriculum?

Solmon’s Quest is not a curriculum. It is a framework that guides facilitators in creating thought-provoking, conversational, and life-changing Bible Studies for themselves, in their culture, and in their environment and circumstances.

Is Solomon’s Quest an Inductive Bible Study?

Solomon’s Quest is a Deductive Bible study. Induction is the process of taking specific observations and generalizing them into a broad, general conclusion or pattern. Deduction, much like the work of a detective, is the process of evaluating all relevant information to discover specific truths and conclusions that can be supported by all scripture. Simply put, Induction starts small and gets broader. Deduction starts broadly and narrows to a fully supported truth.

How are Solomon’s Quest Lessons Different?

We don’t call them lessons; we call them sessions. A lesson, all too often, is structured for academic delivery. A session is experienced as the facilitator leads from behind, constantly putting God’s Word in front of the participants for their own engagement. In addition, Solomon’s Quest sessions are different because of:

  • Impact: Memorable rather than informative
  • Renewed Minds: Creates comprehension rather than understanding
  • Life Change: Supports synthesis rather than application
  • Process: Generates curiosity rather than passive participation
  • Relevance: It fits your group rather than a one-size-fits-all approach
  • Replication: Easier to enlist and train new leaders who have experienced this paradigm

How much time does the training take?

Our training follows the “Jesus model” of training.

  • We show you, and you watch.
  • We show you, and you participate.
  • You show others, and we support you.
  • Then, you show others.

During an in-person training event, we walk through these steps in a highly engaging and participatory experience. This is generally in the 6-7-hour range, either Friday night and Saturday morning or all day Saturday. We’re also available to model a live teaching experience for your leaders on the Sunday morning of that weekend.

For online training and individual coaching, there are a variety of reasons why this can’t be determined without a conversation about your situation. We’ve trained people in 1 hour (on a napkin over lunch), 3 hours (1 hour a week for 3 weeks), or more, based on their background and ability to manage the concepts in this very different paradigm.
