Joel McWilliams
Joel retired from the Fortune 50 company, Verizon Communications, where he ended his 34-year career there with global responsibilities as Director-Network Security. While at Verizon he also held other directorships and key management positions in Operations, Information Technology, Marketing, Product Management, and Sales. Joel is a graduate of Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Science.
Joel and his wife, Gena, have been happily married for 42 years and have two married sons and one grandson. They have been active in Sunday School, Home Teams, Bible Study, and Church Ministries in several churches throughout their marriage. They are currently members of White’s Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, TX where they are involved in Sunday School, Bible Study, WC sponsored Habitat for Humanity building projects and the WC Mobile Market serving underprivileged community members.
For more than 20 years, they have supported and participated in Christmas Providers, a 501c(3) organization. Additionally, Joel most recently served as a board member of a music evangelist 501c(3) organization for more than 10 years and previously served on the ministry council of a local mission church.
